yesterday i sure was feeling the love from you all. thank you for all your emails and comments. it was nice to celebrate with everyone and have people excited for me. it's such a welcoming feeling. from the bottom of my heart thanks for celebrating my small accomplishments that mean so much to me.
this little 8" x 8" painting is what i've been working on along with a hundred other paintings. i have 8 of these squares that i'm really enjoying doing. i thought working this small would be a challenge. i'm finding that my best paintings are either very small of pretty big. the in between ones are a little more of a struggle. what does this mean about me i wonder?
have a great weekend friends! you know where i'll be. nose deep in boards and paint!

Super congrats! Your square paintings look great :)
ReplyDeleteI am digging this new broken wing collection of yours...and, by the way, still a little bit jealous of your black outlines! Seriously, I cannot get it to look like that with a brush! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThese look amazing! I'd love to read about your story of going from your previous type of work to this type of work! What did your mentor tell you? What did you begin to do differently?!
ReplyDeleteThey look great, I love the texture and strong colours.
ReplyDeleteA Fellow Flyer here -- love the small pieces! They are fabulous!
